Second Day Of Eid, KRL Users Increase
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia recorded an increase in users of Jabodetabek Commuter Line KRL on the second day of Eid al-Fitr. Since operating at 04.00 until 10.00 WIB, 70,906 users have used KRL services.
"On the second day of Eid al-Fitr, there was an increase in the number of users who took advantage of KRL services, and most were seasonal users", KAI Commuter VP Corporate Secretary Anne Purba said in a statement, Friday, May 14.
Anne predicts that the number of KRL passengers until the last train at 20.00 WIB will be greater than the first day of Eid al-Fitr yesterday. Recorded, KRL users on May 13 throughout the day as many as 226,767.
Anne continued, KAI Commuter added six train itineraries that were previously during the May 6-17 homecoming ban period were not implemented. This was done after an evaluation from the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi.
Previously, during the Eid al-Fitr period, KAI Commuter operated limited with operating hours of 04.00 - 20.00 WIB daily, running 886 KRL trips.
"KAI Commuter continues to anticipate Jabodetabek KRL services during this Eid holiday. Further anticipation is also carried out by the results of the visit of the Minister of Transportation to Manggarai Station on Friday morning", he explained.
Anne guarantees that officers will strictly regulate the use of masks according to the rules and try to keep a distance between users.
"The addition of officers to regulate health protocols will also be carried out in several potentially crowded stations such as Tanah Abang Station, Manggarai Station, Pasar Minggu Station, Bogor Station, and Bekasi Station", he said.
