Heavy Rain, 12 RTs In Pela Mampang Flood Up To 70 Centimeters
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that 12 RTs in Pela Mampang Village, Mampang Prapatan District, South Jakarta were flooded due to rains in the DKI Jakarta area since noon.
"The latest information on inundation is until 15.00 WIB, BPBD noted that currently inundation has occurred in 6 RTs," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji in his statement, Tuesday, September 16.
More specifically, 12 RTs in Pela Mampang were flooded with water levels between 30 centimeters and 70 centimeters.
"The cause is high rainfall and overflowing Mampang River," said Isnawa.
Some time ago, the rain also caused Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir, South Jakarta to be inundated. However, now it has receded.
Currently, BPBD DKI Jakarta is deploying personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that water lines function properly together with local lurah and sub-district heads and prepare basic needs for survivors.
"The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time. BPBD DKI urges the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation," concluded Isnawa.
