The Story Of Eid Sri Mulyani, Visit Via Zoom, Cook Beef Tongue Stew
JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati recounted various activities carried out with her family during the Eid al-Fitr holiday in 1442 Hijri.
Sri Mulyani said she and her extended family had met virtually through the Zoom app to let go of longing because this year is the second year of not homecoming.
"Last night we Zoom until 23.30 WIB. My 10 siblings with grandchildren or 3rd generation are almost 54 so crowded in one Zoom. Singing and others", she said in an online meeting with reporters quoted by Antara, Friday, May 14.
Despite meeting virtually, Sri Mulyani admitted that she still misses the moments to meet in person like before the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Yes, I definitely miss meeting family. But of course, it can't replace the feeling of being together with family", she said.
Sri Mulyani said she really likes a variety of typical foods of Eid such as chicken opor and fried sambal ati because of its sweet, savory, and spicy taste.
"I like opor especially if given soybeans powder sprinkled on top with fried sambal ati", she said.
Sri Mulyani said that despite having a very busy work schedule until the last day of fasting, she still took the time to cook fried sambal ati and beef tongue stew.
"Even though we have ordered but I want to cook my own", she said.
He claimed that the beef tongue stew he made has a pretty good taste and got appreciation from the family even though fried sambal ati still needs to be improved taste.
"They love testimonials while looking at me so the tongue is good but fried sambal ati less get praise", said Sri Mulyani.
Not only met virtual and cooked typical Food of Eid, but Sri Mulyani also invited her grandchildren to enjoy the streets of Sudirman, Jakarta, which is very quiet on Thursday, May 13.
