The Trend Of The AI Polaroid With Idol Is Getting More Nyeleleneh, Komdigi Says It Can Be Reported
Photo editing trends using artificial intelligence (AI) or called Polaroid AI, seem to be being loved by netizens. The reason is, many people use AI prompts to edit their photos with their idols, ranging from Kpop idols, government leaders, to national team athletes.
But unfortunately, it is not uncommon for irresponsible people to edit their photos with indecent poses. It is not uncommon for figures whose photos are edited to feel disturbed by this trend.
This phenomenon then sparked discussions about the ethics of using AI, how to maintain the privacy limits of public figures, and the impact on people's perceptions of these figures in the real world.
Commenting on this trend, Director General of Digital Ecosystems, Ministry of Communication and Digital Edwin Hidayat Abdullah said that the trend violates AI ethics and could be reported
"That's not true. It's in the guidelines that will be issued. It violates ethics," said Edwin on the sidelines of the 2025 AI Innovation Summit (AIIS) by CORIKA on Tuesday, September 16.
Furthermore, Edwin also said that if people found photos produced by AI in indecent poses, they were asked to report the content.

"Later, if it is, just report it, if it is indecent, report it to the Directorate of Digital Supervision," said Edwin to the media crew.
Later, he added, the surveillance team will take further action after the inappropriate content is reported by the public, for example, such as being taken down or posting down.
Although he did not reveal what sanctions would be given, Edwin emphasized that this violated the ethics contained in the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE).
"Violating this ethics, there are laws on Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE), there are sanctions," he said.
