Defense Minister Sjafrie Meets Dasco In DPR, Discusses Government Solidity And Legislative

JAKARTA - Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin met with the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, at the DPR Building today. Defense Minister Sjafria revealed that the meeting discussed the synergy between the government and the DPR.

The meeting was held before the Minister of Defense and the TNI Commander held a working meeting with Commission I of the DPR.

"On behalf of the government, especially the Ministry of Defense, the TNI, of course, it is necessary to maintain good solidity and work relationship between the government and the legislature," said Defense Minister Sjafrie at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 16.

"Where Professor Sufmi Dasco is the deputy chairman of the DPR in the field of Polkam, so I need to communicate things that need national attention," he continued.

According to the Minister of Defense, this meeting shows that the executive and legislative relations are solid. Moreover, both of them have a close personal relationship.

"So this is to show the solidity between the legislature and the executive. That's what I meant when I met Mr. Dasco. Apart from Mr. Dasco himself, he was a long friend, before he was in the DPR I already knew him," he said.
