Palace: Police Reform Not To Replace The National Police Chief
Deputy Minister of State Secretary (Wamensesneg) Juri Ardiantoro said that President Prabowo Subianto's efforts to reform the National Police were not to replace the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
The jury asked the public to wait for the next steps that President Prabowo would take to form the Police Reform Commission, including technical matters to be carried out.
"No, no (change the police chief)," said the jury when answering questions from journalists at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 15.
According to him, reforming the Police is a policy from President Prabowo and is not a proposal. For this reason, he also asked the public to wait for the team to fill the Police Reform Commission.
"If the president has conveyed the policy, what kind of technicality will we wait for," he said, quoted from Antara.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto said he would soon form a commission to evaluate and reform the National Police, considering that police reform is one of the demands of the community, including the National Conscience Movement (GNB) which consists of a number of national figures and interfaith figures.
