Alert! Heavy Rain In Bali Until September 21
DENPASAR - Center for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BBMKG) Region III Denpasar issued an early warning of the potential for moderate to heavy rain in Bali until September 21, 2025.
"Be aware of the potential for moderate to heavy rain in most parts of Bali," said Head of BBMKG Region III Cahyo Nugroho, quoted by ANTARA Tuesday, September 16.
Based on the Denpasar BBMKG analysis, the potential for moderate to heavy rain is estimated to occur until September 17, 2025 in southern Bali.
Meanwhile, the intensity of light-light rain on September 18-21, 2025, is estimated in eastern, central, northern, southern, and western Bali.
During this estimated period, wind speeds are predicted to reach up to 38 kilometers per hour which move from east to southeast.
There were also sea waves during the estimated period for the northern waters of Bali which reached up to two meters high, then the southern waters of Bali were up to five meters high.
Furthermore, sea waves in the Bali Strait, Badung Strait, and Lombok Strait are estimated to be the highest up to 3.5 meters and the southern Lombok Strait is estimated to be the highest of up to five meters.
According to him, the weather conditions are caused by sea level temperatures in Bali reaching 26-28 degrees Celsius and sea surface temperature anomalies (SST) ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 degrees Celsius which has the potential to increase the water vapor period in the Island of the Gods.
Then the wet air mass is concentrated on the surface layer up to a layer of 700 millibars or about 3,000 meters in the Bali area as well as wind bends and convergence that have the potential to support rain growth areas in Bali to West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
For this reason, his party appealed to the public to be aware of the potential for extreme weather such as floods, strong winds, and fallen trees.
Maritime tourism actors and fishermen are also expected to be aware of the potential for increasing wind speed and high waves.
