Head Of Authority Reveals Leadership House And Legislative Members At IKN Start Construction 2025

JAKARTA - The house of leadership along with members of the DPR and DPD RI in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, will be built starting in 2025.

This was conveyed by the Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono when met by reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 15.

"It started this year. The one who is currently in tender, hopefully at the end of September or early October has signed a contract," said Basuki.

Basuki said the residential project would be worked on with a multi-year contract scheme (MYC) for 2025-2027.

In total, there are 732 houses to be built for leaders as well as members of the DPR and DPD RI in IKN.

In detail, as many as 3 landed houses for the chairman of the DPR and 15 landed houses for the Deputy Speaker of the DPR with an area of 580 square meters each.

Then, 567 flats (rusun) were built for members of the DPR RI and 147 flats for DPD members with an area of 390 square meters each.

"Maybe the leadership can be landed, but our members propose it can become flats," he said.

According to the former Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), the decision to choose landed houses or flats was influenced by the availability of land at IKN.

"Because once the landed house, it needs 567 plus 147, it needs more land," explained Basuki.

Furthermore, Basuki revealed, the need for residential development reached Rp4.73 trillion.

Meanwhile, what has been tendered in 2025 is IDR 3.68 trillion.

"That's the job of seven packages of buildings in the legislative area. So, there are three packages of roads, two packages of reservoirs, one pool package, one package of supporting buildings or network packages, everything is there," he said.
