UK Summons Russian Ambassador Condemns Drone Attack To Enter Poland

JAKARTA - Britain summoned Russia's ambassador following a violation of NATO airspace by Russia last week.

Poland shot down a Russian drone on Wednesday last week, in the first action known by members of the Western military alliance during Russia's war in Ukraine.

A few days later, Romania deployed fighter jets when Russian drones violated its airspace.

"Attacks on NATO airspace are completely unacceptable", a spokesman for the British foreign office said.

Britain has been stressed to unite with its NATO allies in condemning this "reckless act".

"Russia must understand that continued aggression will only strengthen unity among NATO allies and our determination to support Ukraine, and any further attacks will be responded to with violence," the spokesman continued.

The Russian Embassy in London did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation.
