Zita Anjani Only Brands Herselves, Observer Asks President Prabowo To Evaluate The Performance Of Special Envoys

Political communication observer from Esa Unggul University, Jamiluddin Ritonga, assesses that President Prabowo Subianto needs to evaluate the performance of seven Presidential Special Envoys for the 2024-2029 period.

The reason is, until now the public has not known their achievements and contributions since their inauguration on October 22, 2024.

"The public is not even familiar with who the special presidential envoy was in the era of President Prabowo Subianto," Jamiluddin said when contacted by VOI, Monday, September 15.

According to him, of the seven special envoys, only a few names often appear in public spaces, such as Mari Elka Pangestu (international trade), Raffi Ahmad (the development of the younger generation), and Zita Anjani (tourism). Meanwhile, other names, such as Setiawan Ichlas, Ahmad Ridha Sabana, and Mardiono, rarely hear his progress.

Jamiluddin assessed that the public has the right to know the performance of special envoys because they receive the same financial rights as ministers from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

"At least there is a regular evaluation of the president's special envoy. The results of the performance evaluation of each special presidential envoy are at least conveyed to the public," he said.

He gave an example of the spotlight on Zita Anjani, who was recently discussed because she was canceled at the Padjadjaran University Sustainable Tourism Masters seminar (Unpad) and chose to exercise in the fitness center. According to him, the public is actually demanding that a more measurable performance be highlighted.

"Zita Anjani, for example, is considered more membraneed by herself than national tourism. The public does not know at all what its contribution to increasing tourism in the country," he added.

Jamiluddin also mentioned the importance of transparency so that negative perceptions do not appear in society.

"All of this is natural for the public to collect the performance of every special presidential envoy. This is only because their income comes from the state budget so that their performance must be clear and measurable," he said.
