Former Mayor Of Bandung Yana Mulyana Is Still Obliged To Report Until 2027

BANDUNG - The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of West Java Province stated that the former Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, still had to undergo compulsory reporting until October 2027, even though he had a conditional free status.

Head of the Correctional Division of the West Java Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Kusnali, said Yana Mulyana has been officially released on condition since June 14, 2025, based on the Decree of the Minister of Immigration and Corrections No. PAS-840.PK.05.03 of 2025 dated 27 May 2025.

"However, he still has to undergo a probationary period ending on October 17, 2027," said Kusnali in Bandung, Antara, Monday, September 15.

Thus, Yana Mulyana is required to report herself regularly to the Community Guide at the Correctional Center (Bapas).

According to Kusnali, this mandatory reporting mechanism is a form of supervision as well as guidance so that clients can adapt back to the community, prevent repeat of criminal acts, and provide moral and mental guidance to live independently.

Previously, Public Relations of the Sukamiskin Class I Prison, Yemen, Nuryaman, confirmed that the former Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, had left the prison after receiving parole.

"Pak Yana Mulyana has carried out a parole," said Yaman when confirmed.

Regarding the case, the panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Bandung District Court, West Java, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, sentenced Yana Mulyana to four years in prison in the bribery case for the procurement of CCTV Bandung Smart City.

In addition to the criminal sentence, the judge in the verdict hearing at the Bandung Corruption Court also sentenced Yana Mulyana to pay a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to three months in prison.

Chief Judge Hera Kartiningsih in his ruling stated that Yana Mulyana was legally and convincingly proven to have committed a criminal act of corruption in accepting gratuities in the CCTV procurement project case at the Bandung City Transportation Service.

The panel of judges stated that Yana Mulyana was proven to have received gratuities in the form of money and facilities to Thailand from Benny as Director of PT Sarana Mitra Adiguna (SMA), Andreas Guntoro as Vertical Slution Manager of PT SMA, and Sony Setiadi as Director of PT Citra Jelajah Informatika (CIFO).
