Wings Air Has Not Yet Received A Permit To Fly From Husein Sastranegara Airport, Ministry Of Transportation Opens Voice

JAKARTA - Wings Air has applied for flight operational permits at Sastranegara Airport, Bandung, West Java. However, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has not yet granted flight permits.

Director of Air Transport of the Ministry of Transportation Agustinus Budi Hartono confirmed this. He said Wings Air had indeed applied for a permit. However, the Ministry of Transportation has not given flight permits for the airline.

"We have approved Wings Air, but in principle we still haven't given permission for flights from Bandung," he said at the Ministry of Transportation Office, Jakarta, Monday, September 15.

The reason is because the Ministry of Transportation is considering the existence of Kertajati Airport, Majalengka, West Java. Budi said the airport was quite large and very unfortunate if it was not used.

"Because after all, the airport construction there (Majalengka) is quite large, so it's a shame if it's not used," he said.

For your information, the Mayor of Bandung Muhammad Farhan urged the central government to reactivate the operations of Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung, West Java.

According to Farhan, the closure of Husein Sastranegara Airport has had a huge impact on the number of tourist visits. He said the number of tourists fell and also had a negative impact on the economic sector of Bandung City.
