80th Bhakti Postel Day, Komdigi Emphasizes Collaboration For Internet Equity
JAKARTA - Celebrating the 80th Bhakti Postel Day, the Government in particular through the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs and the telecommunications industry is committed to continuing to accelerate the equitable implementation of digital connectivity in Indonesia.
The concrete steps that have been taken are through various breakthroughs, one of which is the launch of the Nusantara Lima Satellite, a satellite by the nation's children who are ready to reach remote areas that are difficult to connect with an optical fiber network.
Director General of Digital Infrastructure Kemkomdigi, Wayan Toni Supriyanto emphasized that the cooperation between regulators and industry players is the key to closing the digital divide.
He stated that with the presence of the largest capacity Nusantara Lima Satellite in Southeast Asia, millions of people in islands and inland will have stable internet access.
The internet does not only belong to big cities, but the rights of all people from Sabang to Merauke. With this collaboration, we want to make sure every citizen can connect," Wayan said in his statement.
More than just technology, the development of digital infrastructure is a bridge that unites people from various islands and backgrounds.
