Zulhas Reveals Thanks To Minister Of Finance Purbaya, Village Cooperative Process Of 6 Months Has Been Completed In 30 Minutes

Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) said that after going through a long process for six months, finally the issue related to funding the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) has been resolved which can utilize Rp200 trillion which has been transferred from government accounts at Bank Indonesia to state-owned banks (Himbara).

He also highlighted how complicated the discussion has been over the past six months, but now the completion process can last in just one to two days.

"Really, today we have a meeting with the Minister of Finance, yes, which has been around for 6 months. Alhamdulillah, today all KDMP problems are answered about money. So this is looking at everything's bright face here. We formulated complicated regulations for 6 months, it turns out that now 1 day, 2 days can be finished," he told the media crew at his office, Monday, September 15.

In addition, he expressed his special appreciation to the Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadive, who was present today as a cowboy, and it turned out to be true in a positive sense.

He gave an example, like, this problem that has been circling for months, today can be completed in just half an hour of meetings.

"Earlier I conveyed that the arrival of the Minister, who said he was a coboy, was really a coboy. But in good sense, it means positive. Yes, we, how many months have we finished in a circle. Today, one day the half-hour meeting is over. Please applaud once again. Yes, Mr. Minister of Finance Purbaya who is here, in our midst. Thank you, sir, thank you. Financial support is certainly very meaningful for the KOPDES and the Kelurahan Cooperative," he said.

He said that the Rp200 trillion fund that had been placed in Himbara banks could support the financing of red and white village cooperatives and this was long awaited news, especially by more than 80,000 units of Village and Red and White Village Cooperatives that the President had launched last July.

"Even though it's the government together, how long have we been waiting for this? It's been months. Well, we saw, heard, and read, and already knew firsthand that the Minister of Finance has set Rp200 trillion in hebara," he said.

"We have been waiting for this for months and now it is there, therefore I think it is a loan for the Red and White Village Cooperative, so the capital is already there, there is already capital," he added.

For information, President Prabowo Subianto previously inaugurated the launch of the Red and White Cooperative on July 21, 2025 in Klaten, Central Java.

According to Zulhas, cooperatives will play an important role in the distribution of basic necessities such as LPG 3 Kg ( melon gas), cooking oil, sugar, rice, and fertilizer, especially ahead of the planting period which will begin soon.

Furthermore, he said that cooperatives are also expected to cut the distribution chain which has been too long, as well as erase the role of tengkulak in villages and this is also an effort to bring rural communities closer to banking services.

"This cooperative will cut the long supply chain as well, to eliminate the villages, tengkulak-tengkulak also bring the village community closer to being assisted, right there is a brilink," he said.

According to him, the money is already available and it's just a matter of how cooperatives submit simple business proposals to banks and hope that everything can run optimally in the next two days.

In addition, he also asked for an acceleration in the loan distribution process, because cooperatives have been waiting for a long time, since this program was launched directly by President Prabowo and do not let this fund just settle, even though the needs in the field are very urgent.

"We ask for the acceleration of the distribution of this loan because it has been a long time, yes, it has been 3-4 months from the KOPDES which has been launched by the President directly, don't let this fund settle for a while, even though the cooperative is in dire need," said Zulhas.
