Starlink Internet Service Experienced Blackouts Worldwide
JAKARTA Starlink, a satellite internet service from SpaceX, experienced a global blackout on Monday, September 15. This disruption has been confirmed directly through Starlink's official website.
"Starlink is currently experiencing service disruptions. Our team is investigating (problem-causing)," wrote the Starlink team. Although there have been official notifications, SpaceX and Starlink's official accounts on platform X, have not discussed this matter at all.
Elon Musk, as the owner of SpaceX, who usually makes statements via social media, has not yet been seen. It is not known for certain whether this blackout was caused by technical problems or unstable space weather.
Based on VOI's monitoring on the Downdetector outage tracking site, tens of thousands of people reported the problem. The incoming reports reached more than 30 thousand people, but these data did not show the entire affected user.

Most likely, there were more people feeling the blackout. Fortunately, this problem was handled in less than an hour. To date, there are still reports that come in at Downdetector, but it has decreased drastically.
Starlink provides internet access through a constellation of satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). This service is widely used in remote areas and conflict zones. Therefore, many depend on this service.
If the signal is disturbed, there will be many people affected. So far, no serious problems have been caused due to the outage of Starlink satellite connectivity.
