Komdigi Calls Screening Of Presidential Videos In Cinemas To Expand Public Communication
JAKARTA - Director General of Public Communication and Media, Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Fifi Aleyda Yahya, assessed that the broadcast of President Prabowo Subianto's video in theaters was normal.
According to him, the video broadcast is one of the efforts to expand the reach of public communication related to the government's work achievements.
"Public communication in the digital era is no longer limited to one canal. As long as it does not violate the rules of legal and reasonable medium cinemas to choose from," Fifi said in his official statement, Monday, September 15.
Fifi explained that cinemas were chosen because they were able to provide strong visual and audio experiences so that the message of development and government policies could be accepted more fully by the audience.
He also emphasized that the government has a responsibility to ensure important information can be conveyed to the public broadly, effectively, and in accordance with the times.
As with the use of social media, television, radio, and billboards, according to Fifi, cinemas are only one of the public communication channels.
