New BMW X1 Ready To Evolution With Neue Classe Design

JAKARTA - BMW recently introduced its newest SUV, iX3, which is the first model of the Neue Classe lineup to become an important foundation for the German brand's future.

Most recently, according to a Carscoops report, quoted Monday, September 15, BMW appears to be also preparing this flagship compact SUV to undergo a massive overhaul, both from the exterior and interior sides.

Some of the latest spy shots managed to capture the piloted BMW X1 prototype. From these leaks, it is clear that this SUV will carry a new, more modern design identity. The front will feature a slimmer kidney grip and sharper LED headlights, reflecting the look already introduced on iX3. Redesign is also seen in the bumper, engine hood, and sepatbor parts, which now have finer lines, leaving an aggressive impression on the current model.

Significant changes are also present at the back. The current L-shaped back light will be replaced by elegant elongated units, separated by the BMW emblem in the middle. The position of the number plate will also be placed lower at the baggage door, in contrast to the position of the iX3 number plate on the bumper.

Improved Performance And Efficiency

Under the engine hood, the various existing powertrain options, ranging from millid hybrid, PHEV, to fully electric iX1, will be maintained. However, BMW is expected to embed a gradual increase in efficiency and performance across all lines.

Especially for iX1, which currently offers a range of 415-475 km, BMW is likely to seek to increase that number to compete tightly with rivals. This can be achieved through new battery technology, more efficient electric motors, and better aerodynamics.

As a real picture, digital artist Nikita Chuiko of the coalesa has created quite accurate renderings based on these spy photos. This visual provides a compelling preview of the radical transformations that the next BMW X1 will bring, including a larger front grip and a more modern overall design.
