Premier League: Goal Penalti Mohamed Salah Win Liverpool At Home To Burnley
JAKARTA - Liverpool won a dramatic 1-0 victory over Burnley in Week 4 of the Premier League at the Turf Moor Stadium on Sunday night WIB.
Mohamed Salah scored a single goal with a penalty in injury time.
This victory brought Liverpool firmly at the top of the Premier League standings with 12 points.
In second to fourth place, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Burnley each collected nine points, as quoted from the official Premier League website.
Liverpool dominated possession since the first half, but struggled to penetrate Burnley's solid defense.
The only on-target opportunity in the first half came from Andy Robertson in the 37th minute, but was countered by Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka. The 0-0 score lasted until halftime.
In the second half, Burnley remained strong despite Liverpool continued to press.
Dominik Szoboszlai tried his luck with a long-range shot in the 58th minute, but Dubravka was quick to secure the net again.

Burnley also threatened several times with a quick counter-attack, but Liverpool's backline was able to break the opponent's chances before entering the penalty box.
Conditions changed in the 85th minute when Burnley had to play with 10 players after Lesley Ugochukwu was rewarded with a second yellow card for a foul on Florian Wirtz.
Despite being ahead of the number of players, Liverpool still struggled to score goals. Jeremie Frimpong almost opened the scoring during injury time, but his shot from a tight angle could still be parried by Dubravka.
Liverpool's victory was finally created in the final minutes of injury time after the referee awarded a penalty for the violation of the Burnley player's handball.
Mohamed Salah calmly executed the penalty, confirming three points for Liverpool.
Despite dominating, Liverpool showed difficulties in penetrating the Burnley tight defense. Salah's penalty goal was the winner, as well as emphasizing his crucial role in a precarious situation.
Burnley, despite losing, showed resilience in defense and threats through counter-attacks.
