Vocalist Of My Chemical Romance, Gerard Way Has A New Music Project Ready To Release First Single

JAKARTA - In the middle of the My Chemical Romance world tour schedule, Long Live The Black Parade, Gerard Way (vocals) is reportedly joining a new music project called The Mock-Ups.

The news was confirmed by Gauzy Records, a record label based in Los Angeles, USA, via uploads on an official Instagram account.

Mentioned, The Mock-Ups has prepared an inaugural single that is ready to be officially introduced to the public.

The Mock-Ups: I Wanna Know Your Name. Coming soon," wrote Gauzy Records, citing an upload caption, Sunday, September 14.

In this music project, Gerard Way will act as vocalist and cut the bass. Meanwhile, other personnel include Michael Schulz on guitar, Kevin Bivona on keyboards, and Jesse Bivona on drums.

In addition, single I Wanna Know Your Name also involved Aimee Interrupter to fill out background vocals and Doug McKean as a technician.

However, it is not explained what this new project will look like, and whether the list of artists involved together will become a permanent band.

For information, Gerard Way is busy with the My Chemical Romance world tour, where the stadium tour in North America was just completed on September 13.

For 2026, My Chemical Romance is scheduled to return to appear in North America, which then continues with a journey along South America, Asia, and Britain.

Gerard Way cs is also scheduled to visit Jakarta. They are the main performers for the Hammersonic Festival which is initiated by Ravel Entertainment and will be held at NICE Jakarta on May 2 and 3, 2026.
