Expectations For Fast Filling Of The Galaxy S26 Ultra Reduction
JAKARTA The news circulating about the increase in fast charging on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra does not seem to be a reality. This is certainly a disappointment for fans looking forward to a significant increase.
Previously there were rumors that it was increasing to 60W, a recent certification from China showed that this flagship phone would continue to use a maximum 45W charging, just like the previous series.
Previously, various trusted sources, even leaked codes at One UI, indicated that the Galaxy S26 Ultra would come with a fast charging capability of 60W. This is a long-awaited step forward, considering that Samsung has been holding at 45W since the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This increase is expected to make battery charging 5,000 mAh faster, with claims charging up to 80% within 30 minutes.
However, all these hopes are now in doubt after tipster Mohammed Khatri shared screenshots of China's CQC (China Quality Certification) certification.
In the certification list, the Galaxy S26 Ultra (with the SM-S9480 model number) is recorded to only support 45W charging. This certification also confirms that the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge will continue to use the 25W charging limit.

Although this certification is specifically for the Chinese market, it is likely that Samsung will release a version with different charging speeds for global markets such as the United States or Europe very small.
Phone manufacturers usually offer their best specifications on the Chinese market due to intense competition. If the Chinese version doesn't get an upgrade, it's unlikely the global version will have it.
This decision puts Samsung in a disadvantaged position. Many of its competitors, especially from Chinese brands such as Xiaomi, OPPO, and OnePlus, have gone far beyond Samsung with super fast charging technology reaching 80W, 100W, even more. Even some Motorola phones available in the US already offer a much better charging speed than Samsung premium phones.
However, a small part of the tech community still hopes for a surprise from Samsung. However, the most likely scenario at this time is that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will still come at 45W charging speed, continuing the conservative trend that Samsung has applied over the years.
