Capcom To Release Three Resident Evil Titles To Nintendo Switch 2 In February 2026

Capcom announced that it will release three titles of Resident Evil to Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, 2026. The three titles are Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition, and Resident Evil Requiem.

In the announcement, Capcom said that Resident Evil Village Gold Edition comes complete with additional content for the Expansion and Trauma Pack.

Resident Evil Village was first launched for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in 2021, then present on Switch via cloud streaming in 2022, as well as on iPhone, iPad, and Mac on October 30, 2023.

Meanwhile, Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition will include chapter Not a Hero as well as all the additional download content that was previously available.

Resident Evil 7 is first launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017, then comes on Switch via cloud streaming in 2018, on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in 2022, followed by iPhone, iPad, and Mac in 2024.

In addition, the biggest surprise came from Resident Evil Requiem, the latest series from the Resident Evil franchise which also launched on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
