Anne said that the contribution of local trains was felt in various aspects of life. In the field of education, many students and students rely on local trains every day to travel to school or campus. Cheap costs make education more affordable because transportation costs are no longer a big obstacle.
In the economic and trade sectors, local trains are the lifeblood of small traders, daily workers, and MSME players. Connectivity between Greater Bandung, Purwakarta, and Garut areas makes the flow of goods and labor mobility smoother, so that the wheels of the people's economy continue to rotate.
Another benefit comes to health and environmental aspects. With the increasing interest of the public by train, the number of private vehicles on the road can be reduced, so that pollution and congestion decrease, "he said.
KAI also makes it easier to access local train bookings with digital services. Tickets can be ordered through the Access by KAI application, so that people can plan trips easily, quickly, and practically without having to go to the counter. This digital innovation makes local train services more adaptive to the needs of the times.
"KAI is committed to maintaining the existence of local trains as people's transportation that really provides added value. The increase in customers in Greater Bandung shows that local trains are loyal friends of community mobility who support education, drive the economy, as well as strengthen inter-regional connectivity," concluded Anne.
