Young Rapper Dumbnesh Introduces Himself Through A Reflective Single Debut Titled SEMANIS MadU

JAKARTA - The young rapper from Bali, dumbnesh, introduced himself as a new talent in the national music scene by releasing his debut single titled SEMANIS MADU, which is also intended as the first track for his first mini album or extended play (EP), MUDA MOODY.

The title 'SEMANIS MADU' was chosen as a picture of dumbnesh sentiment towards the relationship he has with himself. By combining Indonesian and English in lyric writing, he told of his journey when conquering the inner battle within him.

The tendency of overthinking and obsession for all details, especially in their work, is something he has accommodated so far. However, the rapper who was born in Jakarta actually captured this emotional side with the contemplation of various obstacles that had been passed, to convince himself of the steps that would be taken in the future.

As a soulful and spiritual young man, dumbnesh describes everything through wordplay in reflective lyric writing and not solely.

"At that time I was sick and all go-to meals. I just felt normal, except for one spoon of honey that I drank after all the bland food," said dumbnesh in his statement, Sunday, September 14.

"Long live the honey arts that won't tell me if I don't try to fight the parts I'm in the way," he added.

Meanwhile, the music combines elements of trap, pluggnb, and cloud rap. dumbnesh brings chill and lighthearted nuances by taking inspiration from several artists, such as Tyler the Creator, Jordan Ward, Dream Perfect Regime, and several local musicians such as Basboi and ENVY.

Furthermore, SEMANIS MADU is intended as a track that marks the turning point of a dumbnesh who slowly starts to venture to escape the comfort zone. The stages of the character embedding are then compiled into EP MUDA MOODY.

The five songs that will be presented will explore his perspective and feelings as a teenager for all the hustle and bustle he encounters throughout the process: from the confidence instilled in his vision, admiration for the figures who cheer him up, and pride in the progress of the developments that have been achieved.

"Even though I myself am still in the position of a young man who learns to be wise, I hope that later people can see EP MUDA MOODY as an inspiration to stop for a moment so that we can feel and make sure that this is what we want to do at a life opportunity that is only once," concluded dumbnesh.
