Six Employees Injured Due To Gas Cylinder Explosion In Kelapa Gading, One Treated Five Others Still Recorded
JAKARTA - Kelapa Gading Police received a report from Mitra Kelapa Gading Hospital that there was one treatment patient named Ali who suffered burns to his legs and hands on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
After an investigation was carried out by the Kelapa Gading Police, it turned out that the man was an employee of the victim of a gas cylinder explosion until a fire broke out on the 2nd floor, Ruko French Walk F03 Mall Of Indonesia (MOI), Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
"The victim has only been identified as one person and is receiving medical treatment at Mitra Keluarga Hospital," said Kelapa Gading Police Chief, Kompol Seto Handoko Putra, Sunday, September 14, 2025.
The police also received reports of 5 other injured victims as a result of the fire.
"Meanwhile, the condition and location of the medical treatment of the other five employees are not yet known," he said.
The reason is, the five people left the location using a taxi and could not be contacted.

The six victims were identified as Ali, Kevin, Anang, Alif, Fais and an unidentified mother.

Then Fikri tried to look up (2nd floor) and saw the victim named Ali come down from the 2nd floor with his legs injured.
"Not long after, Fais with his face covered with oil went down to the 1st floor and Fikri saw the roof of the ceiling collapsed, so the witness did not go up to the 2nd floor," he said.
Fikri then tried to help the other victims by using stairs from outside the shop to help 3 employees, namely 1 woman and 2 men through the 2nd floor window.
"The alleged explosion caused by a gas cylinder leak from the kitchen on the 2nd floor resulted in ceiling debris from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor resulting in burns," he said.
Currently, the location of the incident has been installed with a police line. Meanwhile, the case is still under investigation by the Kelapa Gading Police.
