Korean Air Invests 300 Billion Won To Present Premium Economic Class
JAKARTA - The Korean Air airline last month announced it would introduce its first premium economic class, with an investment of 300 billion won (IDR 3,533,430,000,000) to redesign the cabin of 11 of its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
This new travel class will debut on short and medium-range routes from mid-September.
Between the airline's business and economic classes, this newly launched premium economy class will offer a space of about 50 percent wider and improved services compared to economic options.
The rates for premium classes vary depending on routes and travel dates, but generally set at around 110 percent of the overall economic rate, according to the Korean Air, reported by The Korea Times September 7.
Passengers can enjoy a better flight entertainment experience with a 15.6-inch high resolution screen.
On international flights, premium class passengers will be able to enjoy a luxurious one-table food service, including the main dish, opening dish, and dessert from the business class menu.
Drinks such as wine, coffee and tea will also be the same as those served to business class passengers, according to airlines.
This new class of passengers will also get priority land services, such as free access to airline-owned check-in Morning Calm counters, priority baggage handling, and Sky Priority fast boarding.
