Persija Jakarta Vs Bali United, Ibarat Piala Dunia Brasil Dan Belanda

JAKARTA - Week 5 of the 2025/2026 Super League will bring together Persija Jakarta and Bali United. This match is likened to a World Cup match that pits Brazil against the Netherlands, said Bali United coach Johnny Jansen.

This weekend, Persija will host Bali United at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on September 14 evening WIB. In this match, the Kemayoran Tigers were indeed thick with Brazilian nuances, while Bali United was full of pillars from the Netherlands.

In total there are 10 Brazilian players who inhabit Persija, namely Carlos Eduardo, Gustavo Almeida, Bruno Tubarao, Allano Souza, Maxwell Souza, Gustavo Franca, Fabio Silva, Basty Sousa, Alan Cardoso, and Thales Lira. They were raised by Brazilian tactician Mauricio Souza.

Meanwhile, the Dutch players who live in Bali United are Mike Haupt Meijer, Tim Receveur, Jordy Bruijn, and Thijmen Gadeli. The team tactician, Johnny Jansen, also came from the Netherlands.

"Yes, we will feature a World Cup match between Brazil and the Netherlands and that's good," said Johnny Jansen at a press conference before the match in Jakarta, Saturday, September 13.

"But for me both teams display a style of play from two different countries, where Persija has several players from Brazil and we are from the Netherlands," he added.

A number of Brazilian players in Persija managed to show their teeth to lift the team's performance. The Kemayoran Tigers proved themselves by being in the top of the Super League with 10 points and three wins and one draw.

Meanwhile, Bali United has only won once, drew twice, and lost once, so they only ranked 12th with 5 points.

"We will work with Bali United to combine European players and local players in developing the game for the better, although some moments sometimes go up and down. The most important thing is that we go through this process for positive results in the match," said Johnny Jansen.
