IPhone 17 Vs IPhone 17 Pro Comparison: Which One Is More Worth It?
Jakarta Apple officially released the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro ranks. As usual, many are curious about whether the Pro version really deserves to be bought at a higher price. Although both have not been tested directly, the specifications released by the Cupertino company are sufficient to see the main difference between these two models.
The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro both come with a glassy and aluminum flat frame design, a flat screen with Dynamic Island at the top, and a uniform thin bezel. The main difference lies in the rear camera module: the iPhone 17 uses two cameras with pill-shaped modules, while the iPhone 17 Pro has three cameras with large modules extending from the left to the right.
Both phones use a 6.3-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED screen with an adaptive 1120Hz refresh rate, 2622 x 1206 pixel resolution, and a peak brightness level of 3,000 nit. Apple has finally brought ProMotion to the standard model, so the screen experience on both devices is predicted to be identical.

The iPhone 17 is powered by an Apple A19 chipset with 8GB RAM, while the iPhone 17 Pro uses the Apple A19 Pro with 12GB RAM. In theory, the Pro is more powerful, but in everyday use, the difference may not be felt too much.
In terms of battery, the iPhone 17 has a capacity of 3,692mAh, while the iPhone 17 Pro carries 3,988mAh (nano SIM) or 4,252mAh (eSIM only) batteries. Both support fast charging (50% in just 20 minutes), MagSafe 25W, and reverse charging 4.5W, but the charger remains excluded in the sales box.
Camera
In the camera sector, the iPhone 17 relies on two 48MP cameras (main and ultrawide). The iPhone 17 Pro offers three rear cameras: 48MP main cameras with larger sensors, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto periscope cameras with 4x optical zoom. The pro is clearly superior to zoom and low light photography.
The iPhone 17 is now more complete thanks to the ProMotion display, strong performance, and a new ultrawide camera. The iPhone 17 Pro is more suitable for those who need more optical zoom capabilities, maximum performance, and a little larger battery. For most users, the iPhone 17 is likely to be very sufficient without having to pay extra for the Pro version.
