Kirsten Dunst Is Reluctant To Play in Bring It On Sequel
JAKARTA - Kirsten Dunst is reluctant to be involved in the production of Bring It On. This 2000 film was one of the films that made her a household name in Hollywood.
While attending the premiere of her latest film, Dunst was asked about plans for a sequel. As the lead, she declined any further involvement.
"No, I feel like, leave the good things where they are," Kirsten Dunst told Variety.
"I don't need to wear a cheerleader outfit. I don't even know what I'm going to do, coach or what? So let's just leave it at that," she explained.
Kirsten Dunst plays Torrance Shipman, the cheerleading captain of Rancho Carne High School, who trains her team to compete at the national level.
Due to the film's success, the production company made six sequels, all without the original cast.
She also rose to fame after starring in the Spider-Man trilogy, but earned her first Oscar for The Power of the Dog in 2021.
This year, she returns with her latest film, Roofman, starring alongside Channing Tatum. The film tells the story of a former military soldier hiding behind the walls of a Toys R Us store.
