Eko Patrio Proposes Suspension Of Detention Of The Taker Of The Lock

JAKARTA - National Mandate Party (PAN) politician and comedian Eko Patrio submitted a request for a suspension of detention for one perpetrator of looting his house.

The perpetrator is known as Rian. He was detained at the Polda Metro Jaya for taking Eko Patrio's cat when the looting incident occurred on August 30, 2025.

"I certainly ask the police at the Regional Police, the first is to ask Rian to be released. Yes, the detention is suspended," Eko told reporters, Saturday, September 13, in the early hours of the morning.

The reason behind the request for a suspension of detention is that Rian is said to have only intended to save his cat. In fact, he had intended to return it.

However, for several reasons, Eko Patrio's cat has not been returned and was first confiscated by the police.

"He saved my cat and after saving him he wanted to also return the cat. But his cat was stuck with him. Before turning it back to me, the police had taken it, by the men at the Polda here," he said.

Investigators granted the request for a suspension of detention. Thus, Rian has been released from detention and returned to his family.

"Alhamdulillah, tonight Rian was picked up by his family, there is his brother and also his father," said Eko.

Eko Patrio is a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives who is a victim of looting. It is known that several other names were also targeted, such as Uya Kuya, Ahmad Sahroni and Sri Mulyani.
