The Raid On The Curanmor Headquarters In Asem Gede Matraman Was Colored By Gunshots

JAKARTA - The raid on the headquarters of a motorcycle theft gang (curanmor) in the South Utan Kayu area, Matraman, East Jakarta had caused panic among local residents.

Especially when there was a sound of gunfire around the scene. Residents who heard the sound of the eruption were shocked to try to find out the cause of the sound source.

"Residents were shocked, panicked because there was a gunshot and it turned out that it was indeed a robbery raid," said Head of RW 04 Utan Kayu Selatan Village, Imam, to reporters, Friday, September 12, 2025.

Before being raided, residents called the situation rented by the perpetrators to carry out normal activities. So that the residents were successfully tricked by the perpetrators.

"The activities (of the perpetrators) are actually normal, but residents feel they have been missed. It turns out that there are criminal acts in this environment, it's a shame too," he said.

Imam said the results of the raid were arrested by 5 perpetrators and put into a police car.

The perpetrators were then taken to the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters for further processing. Meanwhile, the theft gang was successfully raided after the police conducted a search.

Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) raided the headquarters of a gang of motorcycle theft perpetrators on Jalan Asem Gede, Utan Kayu Selatan Village, Matraman, East Jakarta on Friday, September 12, 2025, evening.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Dicky Fertoffan, confirmed the raid.

"Yes, that's right, we arrested five suspects of theft," he told VOI.
