The Story Of Ojol With A Passenger Almost Becomes A Victim Of Robbery In Kemayoran

JAKARTA - An ojol rider with a passenger admitted that he had been a victim of robbery while crossing in front of Mitra Kemayoran Hospital, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

The victim shared his story through a short video recording after the incident. Based on the video footage received by VOI, the incident occurred when the victim passed from Jalan Industri while carrying passengers.

"I (I) told you, don't go through Mitra Kemayoran Hospital. Last night I almost got a robbery. I was grabbed from Jalan Industri, first (petched) Vario, second (petched) PCX," said an ojol driver in a video recording, Friday, September 12.

Luckily, the victim was aware of the suspicious movements of the perpetrators.

"I saw from the mirror that it looked really suspicious. I told the customer (ojol passenger) 'Sir, don't panic, I think there are bad people. Just staycool'," said the ojol imitating his words again.

However, at the time of the incident, the ojol passenger woman looked panicked. The ojol driver continues to try to calm his passengers.

"The problem is that there is a laptop (ojol passenger), there are important files," he said.

Then the ojol driver managed to escape from the target of the robbers after spurring his motorbike.

"Finally, I invited PCX to speed up too. I didn't want to panic, if we panicked we were confused. I just stayedcooled. There was a grocery shop I turned left," he said.

The victim then asked the shopkeeper who was on the side of the road for help.

"I've been hit by a robbery, sir, there was a police officer and then it was told. My customer has been pressed," he said.

Although the ojol driver and the passengers managed to escape the targets of the robbers, the ojol passengers were still traumatized by the incident of the robbery attempt.

"I'm just telling you, if there is a robbery, don't panic, just stay cool. If we panic, we will get hit," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Ruslan, said that regarding this information, the Kemayoran Police had checked the crime scene and conducted an investigation.

"Sudah penyelidikan. Tindakan (lanjutan) dari Polsek dilakukan patroli oleh pintak (member) tertutup pada jam rawan dan titik lokasi rawan jambret," katanya.
