OpenAI And Oracle Establish Large Cloud Agreement Worth IDR 4.916 Trillion

JAKARTA OpenAI is known to have reached a major agreement with Oracle in the cloud or cloud computing field. This agreement is considered one of the largest cloud deals in history.

In the partnership, OpenAI purchased Oracle cloud services worth 300 billion US dollars, equivalent to IDR 4.916 trillion. This deal will last for approximately five years.

This agreement shows that OpenAI's cloud needs continue to increase. This is because the company is developing an increasingly complex Artificial Intelligence (AI) model.

Therefore, the need for strong infrastructure is very important. By using Oracle's cloud services, OpenAI can focus on developing increasingly sophisticated AI.

Even though the agreement has been made, this cooperation does not immediately work. According to a Wall Street Journal report, this contract will only start in 2027.

This deal is part of the Stargate project, a larger project OpenAI announced with Softbank and US President Donald Trump a few months ago. The project aims to build a data center with a capacity of 4.5 gigawatts.

Oracle Safra Catz CEO announced that his company had signed a 'four billion dollar contract' in the first quarter. Although the company didn't mention it, this trend gave Oracle a big advantage.

Thanks to many companies looking to work together, Oracle's cloud infrastructure revenue increased by 77 percent this year. This shows rapid growth in the cloud services sector.
