Commitment To Support Sustainable Financing, IIF Wins Indonesia Green & Sustainable Companies Award 2025
JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) won the Indonesia Green & Sustainable Companies Award 2025 which was organized by SWA. In the event, IIF won the award as Best Innovation in Sustainable Finance Implementation with the title Very Good.
Chief Risk Officer IIF, Lestari A. Umardin expressed his gratitude for the trust given by clients and all stakeholders.
"This award affirms IIF's commitment to continue to innovate and be at the forefront of sustainable financing, by encouraging the mobilization of private capital through capital markets, loans, and other instruments, in order to accelerate the development of sustainable infrastructure in Indonesia," he said, in a written statement, Friday, September 12.
This award is intended to give appreciation to companies that have succeeded in integrating ESG principles, encouraging sustainable ESG adoption and innovation and strengthening Indonesia's sustainable business ecosystem.
This award further strengthens IIF's position as one of the pioneers of sustainable financing in Indonesia. IIF plays an active role in supporting strategic projects, ranging from renewable energy to social infrastructure that is oriented towards improving the quality of life of the community.
By the end of 2024, IIF has contributed to channeling around IDR 42.5 trillion in financing for more than 150 strategic infrastructure projects. This support includes the transportation, energy, telecommunications, clean water and other priority sectors. Some of the latest major achievements include:
- Renewable energy projects, powering more than 693,000 households and potential greenhouse gas emissions avoidance of 4.81 million tonnes of equivalent CO2 per year. - Seven drinking water projects that provide safe and drinking access to water for more than 1.39 million households. - Construction of medical facilities with a capacity of more than 1,000 beds, serving hundreds of thousands of patients every year.
