Zulhas Orders Badanas And Bulog To Send Aid For Flood Victims In Bali
Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan asked the National Food Agency (Bapanas) and also Perum Bulog to immediately distribute aid to flood victims in Bali.
Zulhas, as he is familiarly called, said that the directive had been submitted to Bapanas and Bulog in a limited meeting at his office on Thursday, September 11.
"I instruct Bulog and Bapanas to immediately distribute aid to flood victims. Let's work together to help relieve our brothers and sisters in Bali, to get through this disaster," he said, quoted from his official Instagram @zul.hasan, Friday, September 12.
Furthermore, Zulhas also expressed his deep condolences for the disaster that befell the Balinese people. He also emphasized that public safety is the main thing in the midst of this condition.
"Security is the main thing in the midst of an emergency situation. The food needs of the affected communities must also be a priority," he said.
Zulhas admitted that this is the first time he has seen Bali suffer from a very severe flash flood disaster. Therefore, he asked all levels of ministries/agencies to also participate in easing the burden on the Balinese people.
What we can do, we do. Help our brothers in Bali who were flooded. I have just seen floods in Bali, if there is any sustenance as much as possible, as strong as possible," he said.
"In each office, send them to our brothers and sisters in Bali," he continued.
For your information, BPBD Bali also reported 120 flood points hit seven regencies/cities in Bali. The details, Denpasar as many as 81 flood points, Gianyar 14 points, Badung 12 points, Tabanan eight points. Then, Karangasem and Jembrana each have four points and Klungkung one point.
BPBD Bali also informed that 562 residents were displaced, consisting of 327 residents in Jembrana Regency and 235 residents in Denpasar City.

On Thursday, September 11, at around 09.00 WITA, the Bali Police managed to find the bodies of four flood victims who had previously been declared missing. All of them were found in Tanah Kilap, Mangrove, South Denpasar.
With the discovery of four flood victims by the joint SAR team, a total of 9 flood victims were found dead. Meanwhile, 4 more victims are still being searched.
The number of flood victims in Bali reached 14 people. Of these, 5 people have been found dead and 8 people have been declared missing.
