Note! The Ness Intersection Toll Road Is Ready To Operate Freely Starting September 14

JAKARTA - The Betung "Tempino" Jambi (Betejam) Toll Road Section 3 of the Tempino Segment "18.49 kilometers (km) is ready to operate without tariffs, aka free starting Sunday, September 14, 2025.

This was confirmed by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK as the manager of the toll road.

The toll operation follows the issuance of the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) of Public Works (PU) Number 813/KPTS/M/2025 concerning the Stipulation of the Operation of the Betung 'Tempino'Jambi Toll Road Section 3 of the Tempino Segment' Simpang Ness.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said that the toll road has been tested for Functional Feasibility (ULF) on August 6-8, 2025, with the results meeting all technical and administrative aspects and obtaining a Certificate for Functional and Operational Feasibility (SLFO) for 5 stars on August 22, 2025 from the Ministry of Public Works.

"These results indicate full readiness to serve toll users, which segment is a continuation of the Bayung Lencir 3 Section of the Betejam Toll Road, Tempino, which was previously operated without tariffs since the end of last year," said Adjib in a written statement, Friday, September 12.

During the socialization period, Adjib said, toll road users have not been charged a tariff, in order to educate about driving rules.

"At the same time socializing the use of electronic money cards (EU) through various communication channels, ranging from social media, conventional media, outdoor media or via radio," he said.

The toll road is also equipped with one toll gate (GT), six substations (three substations entering, three exit substations, including two reversible), 58 standby personnel and six standby fleets.

Menurut Adjib, kehadiran segmen Tempino–Simpang Ness tersebut dapat memangkas waktu tempuh secara signifikan, di antaranya yaitu perjalanan dari Bayung Lencir menuju Simpang Ness kini hanya sekitar 45 menit dari sebelumnya hampir tiga jam, sementara dari Jambi menuju Betung dipangkas dari sekitar empat jam menjadi hanya dua jam.

"Dengan semakin panjangnya ruas tol ini, Hutama Karya mengimbau kepada seluruh pengguna jalan untuk berkendara sesuai dengan tata tertib dan ketentuan berlaku di jalan tol dengan kecepatan maksimum 100 km/jam," pungkasnya.

According to Adjib, the presence of the misappropriation's Tempino segment could cut travel times significantly, including a trip from Bayung Lencir to Simpang Ness now only about 45 minutes from the previous nearly three hours, while from Jambi to Betung it was cut from about four hours to just two hours.

"With the longer this toll road, Hutama Karya appealed to all road users to drive according to the rules and regulations applicable on toll roads with a maximum speed of 100 km/hour," he concluded.
