COVID-19 Update As Of May 13: 31,550 Specimens Examined, 3,448 New Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released additional positive cases of the latest COVID-19 as of today. A total of 31,550 specimens were examined there were 3,448 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was found in Indonesia reached 1,731,652 and active cases of 94,857 or decreased by 852 cases", as quoted from the Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, May 12.

Cases recovered today increased by 4,201 cases so that a total of 1,589,079 people recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmation cases that died increased by 99 people and a total of 47,716 people.

The province with the newest cases in DKI Jakarta has 785 cases and a total of 295,179 cases. Central Java has 480 new cases and a total of 189,194 cases.

Then West Java with 400 cases and a total of 295,179 cases. Followed by East Java 148 new cases and a total of 150,760 cases.

The province with the most cured cases today belongs to Central Java with an increase of 1,146 cured cases. Furthermore, West Java with 601 cases recovered.

Followed by DKI Jakarta 585 cases were cured, Riau 262 cases cured, and Riau Islands 256 cases cured.

The number of specimens examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 15,421,434. With details, RT PCR totals 13,730,388 specimens, TCM 175,582 specimens, and antigens 1,515,464 specimens.

"The positive result per number of specimens examined or positivity rate this week was 16.99 percent," he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspect cases, it is recorded at 87,578 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Currently, there are 13,695,553 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 8,919,557 second dose vaccinations. Meanwhile, the total vaccination target of phases 1 and 2 reached 40,349,049 people.
