Sony Launches PlayStation Family App To Make Parental Control Easier

JAKARTA Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the launch of the PlayStation Family. This is an application specifically designed for parents who want to manage their children's playing activities.

This application is available for iOS and Android devices. With the release of this application, PlayStation demonstrates its commitment to providing better tools to monitor the experience of playing children's games safely and under control.

"Today, we are proud to announce ... PlayStation Family, a new parents control-specific mobile app," Sony said, quoted on Thursday, September 11. "PlayStation Family will launch worldwide starting today.

PlayStation Family offers a number of features that are tailored to the needs of parents. One of its flagship features is Real-Time Notifications that allow parents to see what games their children are playing.

They can also approve or reject requests for additional playing time directly from cell phones. In addition, this application provides Daily and Weekly Activity Reports. Parents can see the duration of children's play in detail.

Expenditure Governance Features are also added to the app. This feature allows parents to add funds, view balances, and set monthly shopping limits on the PlayStation Store.

PlayStation Family also regulates content problems and social interactions. Parents can enable Content Filters at an age. They can also manage privacy and the way children connect with other players.

The PlayStation Family app can be downloaded on App Store and Google Play. Sony stated that they will continue to add improvements in the future to improve their gaming experience.
