After performing Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri prayers and returning to Wisma Bayurini, Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, President Jokowi and the First Lady, Iriana Widodo contacted Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and his wife who were at his official residence via video call or video call.

"Assalamualaikum Mr. Vice President and Mrs. Wury, wish you a happy Eid al-Fitr, apologies born and inwardly", Jokowi said as quoted from the official statement, Thursday, May 13.

"I also wish you a happy holiday, sorry to be born inwardly", continued Iriana.

In the discussion, Jokowi also told if Eid this year is different. Because, right now, her three children are out of town.

"All of my children are out of town, maybe in a week", he said.

Previously reported, the Spokesman of the Task  Force handling COVID-19 Wiku Adisasmito asked all parties without exception not to carry out direct contact. Especially, people living in red and orange zones.

"Take advantage of existing technology to conduct virtual friendships with relatives and other relatives", he said.

Likewise with the giving of gifts. Wiku said people should take advantage of package delivery methods and money transfers online.

"The Task Force understands this situation may not seem ideal especially considering we want to apologize directly to the people closest to us. However, all these forms of prevention are an important part of our efforts to accelerate the resolution of COVID-19 in Indonesia", he said.
