Realizing That Jakarta Is Full Of Excavation Projects Makes It Difficult For Residents, This Is Pramono's Promise
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he realized that many residents had complained about the excavation projects that included some roads in Jakarta.
In fact, there are several projects that are carried out at the same time on one road, so it looks like Jakarta is currently being filled with excavations. Congestion is getting more and more and makes people complain every day.
Pramono admitted that he had discussed the efforts of the DKI Provincial Government in tackling congestion due to excavation work and so on. Pramono promised to improve the working pattern of the excavation project so that it would no longer cause long traffic jams.
"Yesterday in our plenary meeting we discussed this. I ask that the next (project), development cannot happen again without good coordination," said Pramono in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, September 11.
Therefore, if there is excavation work that will take part of the road and other public areas, Pramono requires his staff to finalize standard operational procedures before the implementation permit is issued.
"I have asked the standard operating procedure to be made when carrying out such development, whether it was carried out by BUMD, by the Department, by the Transportation Agency, and so on," said Pramono.
Pramono then reflected on the phenomenon of horror congestion on Jalan TB Simatupang. Where, currently, there are a number of projects being implemented at the same time.
Among them are the pipeline for drinking water Perumda PAM Jaya, the work of the Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (JSDP) or the construction of a wastewater treatment plant carried out by Perumda Paljaya, and the integrated utility network (SJUT) excavation work by the Highways Office.
Therefore, the DKI Provincial Government has taken other steps to deal with traffic congestion on Jalan TB Simatupang, namely by cutting the fence of the excavation work area from 35 meters long to just 20 meters.
Then, the DKI Provincial Government proposed to the Toll Road Management Agency (BPJT) to temporarily close the exit toll Cipete-Pondok Labu.
"I'm really concerned about traffic jams in Jakarta, including the most important thing is in TB Simatupang," he said.
"Alhamdulillah, I received a report, hopefully on Monday we will start testing like what we proposed about the opening of the last toll road," concluded Pramono.
