Truck Driver At Thamrin City Intersection Arrested, Positive For Drugs
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Abang Metro Police managed to apprehend the Tanah Abang thugs who stabbed the truck driver in the Kebon Kacang area, Tanah Abang.
"The perpetrator with the initials R alias Odoy (34) is a resident of Kebon Kacang Village. The evidence was confiscated in cash of Rp. 50 thousand," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, Thursday, September 11, 2025.
The perpetrator with the initials R alias Odoy was arrested after a viral video recording on social media occurred on Jalan Kebon Kacang Raya against a passing truck driver. The Tanah Abang Police Criminal Investigation Opsnal team then pursued the perpetrator.
"The Criminal Investigation Opsnal Team was able to successfully secure one of the perpetrators on Jalan Kacang 49, Kebon Kacang Village, Tanah Abang," he said.
Perpetrator R alias Odoy was then taken to the Tanah Abang Metro Police for further investigation.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Abang Metro Police, Kompol Martua Malau, said the victim had not yet made a police report.

"From the results of the urine test of the perpetrator R alias Odoy, it turned out that the results were positive for using drugs. The perpetrator was then handed over to the Narcotics Unit for further processing," he said.
Previously, it was reported that the burglary by a group of Tanah Abang thugs against a truck driver had occurred again on Jalan Kebon Kacang Raya, Kebon Kacang Village, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta.
This time, the incident was recorded by an amateur truck driver camera. The incident was then uploaded to social media Instagram.
In the action, the perpetrator carried out an act of bullying the truck driver who was passing by at the location. Without hesitation, the perpetrator also asked the victim for money.
The modus operandi of the perpetrators is to become a 'pak ogah' guarding the round and intersection of roads in the Thamrin City area, Jalan Kebon Kacang Raya.
