Suti Karno Hopes People With Disabilities Have The Opportunity To Work In Companies

JAKARTA Behind her friendly smile, actress Suti Karno is paying great attention to the world that is often neglected: space for people with disabilities to work and work.

Since undergoing amputation some time ago, Suti admitted that her feelings became closer to the struggle of the disabled. From there, their determination was born, paving the way for them to live independently, one of which was through job training.

"These disabled children can learn to be baristas, learn management, to other skills that they can provide," he said in a podcast.

But for Suti, training alone is not enough. She wants sustainability.

"I told the Manpower Office, not only to be trained, but also to give opportunities to work in the company. The rules do exist, but the practice is still lacking," he said.

More than just a work course, Suti also dreams of presenting a halfway house that can be a place for people with disabilities to channel their talents, whether they sing, dance, or fashion.

They are just as great as non-disabled children. Sometimes I'm even amazed to see their abilities," he said proudly.

Through the foundation he fostered, stage by stage has been prepared to provide space for children with disabilities to appear in front of the community.

They are very happy to be able to appear outside their environment. My job is to ensure that their work is seen by many people. My homework is still a lot, but I'm sure one by one it can be realized," said the younger brother of the Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno, that.
