Minister Of Finance Purbaya Clarifies About Children Called Sri Mulyani CIA Agent

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadive responded to the statement of the child's viral, Yudo Achilles Sadive who called Sri Mulyani an agent of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Purbaya said that the son's statement that Sri Mulyani's former finance minister as a CIA agent was just a small child accident. Therefore, it does not need to be taken seriously.

"He doesn't understand, he's still small. It's forbidden to do that, he's no longer playing Instagram. So small children don't understand anything," said Purbaya at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday September.

Purbaya said the child's upload had been deleted. Even now his son has closed his personal Instagram account. The former chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) has also reminded his son to be careful in making statements as the son of a public official.

"It's been (warned) and it's been taken down on Instagram as well. We're also not used to this either, usually taking it easy, apparently everything is suddenly seen every movement. Just found out about me," said Purbaya.

Previously, the viral upload of the son of Minister of Finance Purbaya, Yudo Achilles Sadive, through his personal Instagram account @yvdos4dewa. In the upload, the teenager wrote Sri Mulyani as a CIA agent.

This statement came after President Prabowo Subianto made a cabinet reshuffle, Tuesday (9/9/2025) and immediately sparked a public reaction.

"Alhamdulillah, my father removed an American CIA agent who disguised himself as a minister," he wrote in the post.

After going viral on social media, Yudo uploaded a video of the clarification explaining his statement was just a joke. He also straightened out Sri Mulyani as not a CIA agent.

The Instagram account @yvdos4dewa has now been deleted following a statement that went viral regarding Sri Mulyani.
