The Government Encourages The Acceleration Of Investment Through Private And Antara Roles

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive emphasized that accelerating investment is a key factor in encouraging Indonesia's economic growth in the future.

According to Purbaya, the government does not want to rely entirely on the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), so that the role of the private sector and the Danantara Investment Management Agency will continue to be strengthened.

"So that the acceleration of investment in the future does not only rely on the state budget, but is also supported by the strengthening of private and Indonesian roles," he said, written Thursday, September 11.

He targets that Danantara's contribution to national investment will continue to increase until 2029, along with increasing participation from the private sector

The strategic investment managed by Danantara, he continued, will focus on productive sectors that have high added value, are able to create jobs, and encourage increased community welfare.

However, he said that the APBN would still play a role as a catalyst to encourage private involvement in various investment fields.

"So that in the future it is hoped that Danantara and the private sector will contribute greatly as a motorbike for economic growth," he said.

On the other hand, Purbaya also emphasized that government spending through the APBN continues to prioritize infrastructure development, especially projects that have a big impact on the economy.

He conveyed that the focus of the development includes the provision of housing, food and energy security infrastructure, as well as educational and health facilities.
