Barcelona Confirms Match Against Valencia Will Not Be Held At Camp Nou
JAKARTA - Barcelona have announced that the La Liga match on Monday, September 15, 2025 WIB, against Valencia will take place at the Estadi Johan Cruyff and delay their return to Camp Nou once again.
The Blaugrana hopes that this weekend's match, which is their first home game in the league this season, will take place at Camp Nou, which has been undergoing massive renovations since 2023.
However, the permit needed to return to the historic headquarters has not yet arrived, forcing clubs to find alternative places to host Valencia.
Barcelona have spent the last two seasons playing at the Olympic Lluis Companys Stadium in the Montjuic region, but the stadium was not available this week due to the Post Malone concert.

Therefore, Estadi Johan Cruyff, who has a capacity of 6,000 spectators, located next to their training ground on the outskirts of Barcelona, has been selected to host the match.
"The match against Valencia has yet to be held at Camp Nou. The club is working hard to obtain the administrative permits needed to open Camp Nou in the coming weeks," Barcelona said in a statement on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, local time.
The Blaugrana will play against Getafe at home the following week, September 21, 2025, and now has to race against time to prepare for the stadium.
The Johan Cruyff Stadium is home to Barcelona's women's team and men's reserve team - who are in the fourth level league of Spanish football - and will host the Liga F match between Barcelpna Femeni and Logrono on Friday, September 12, 2025.
Meanwhile, Barcelona left Camp Nou in 2023 to modernize the old stadium, while increasing its capacity to more than 100,000 spectators.
Initially, they were rescheduled for November 2024 with a spectator capacity of around 50,000 people.
However, in the end, they ended the 2024/2025 season at the Olympic Lluis Companys Stadium. The Blaugrana announced on August 10, 2025 as their return date to Camp Nou, coinciding with the Joan Gamper Trophy match against Como.
What power, they failed to return to the original home. The match against Como was finally moved to the Estadi Johan Cruyff in a short time.
As a result, Barcelona got permission from La Liga to play their first three league games at home to opponents so they could have more time to prepare Camp Nou.
Hansi Flick's side opened the season with two away wins, at Mallorca and Levante, but were held to a 1-1 draw by Rayo Vallecano in their final game before the international break.
