Hundreds Of TNI-Polri Personnel Spread 28 Tons Of Rice For Residents

JAKARTA - Pangdam I/Bukit Barisan Major General TNI Rio Firdianto together with North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution, North Sumatra Police Chief, and Forkopimda elements released the Simpati Joint Patrol for Peaceful Indonesia at Benteng Field, Medan.

This sympathetic patrol is not only focused on maintaining security, but also on carrying social missions. A total of 496 TNI, Polri, Satpol PP, and related agencies were deployed to target 22 sub-districts in Medan City.

Hundreds of patrol motorbikes that were released were not only used for security, but also carried along-along containing rice. The assistance was distributed directly to residents along the patrol route. In addition to motorbikes, the activity is also supported by 10 operational cars and 8 logistics vehicles. The total assistance distributed reaches 28 tons or 5,600 sacks of rice.

Pangdam Rio emphasized that this activity became a tangible manifestation of the presence of the TNI-Polri in the community.

"This patrol is not only maintaining security and social security, but also providing social concern, so that people feel directly the benefits of the existence of the apparatus," he said.

North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution also appreciated the initiative.
