Australian Caucasian Vila Burned By Lightning, Losses Of IDR 8 Billion
DENPASAR - A villa belonging to an Australian citizen on Jalan Batu Belig, North Kuta, Badung, Bali, caught fire because it was allegedly struck by lightning.
"It is suspected that the fire was caused by a lightning strike," said PS Kasubsipenmas Sihumas Badung Police, Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti, Wednesday, September 10.
The owner of the villa with the initials NR at around 04.30 WITA woke up hearing lightning. Apparently a lightning strike set the roof of the villa on fire.
"There were no casualties in the incident. The fire was thought to have originated from a lightning strike. As a result of the incident, according to information, the loss was estimated at Rp. 8 billion," he said.
