Chery J6 Present In Malaysia As ICaur 03, Advanced Electric Cars Start At IDR 467 Million
JAKARTA - Malaysia's automotive market has a new car, iCaur 03 or known as Chery J6 in Indonesia. This car was shown several times and has finally officially arrived.
Quoting from the Paultan page, Wednesday, September 10, iCar itself is a new subbrand from Chery which was launched in 2023 at the Shanghai Auto Show. In total there are four models under the brand such as 03, 03T and V23, and most recently there are V27. Unlike Indonesia, Chery did not change its name to Chery J6 for the model in Malaysia but uses the name iCaur.
The model in Malaysia will initially be offered as a fully imported electric vehicle (EV) (CBU) before being assembled locally (CKD) at Malaysia's Chery Corporate plant in Shah Alam, which will begin in January 2026.
Malaysia gets 03 in two variants, starting with 2WD which is valued at 119,800 ringgit or around Rp467 million without insurance. This model is equipped with a rear electric motorbike with rank 184 PS (181 hp or 135 kW) and a torque of 220 Nm.
For this variant, it is equipped with a good 65.7 kWh LFP battery for a 426 km NEDC rating range. The basic option takes 10.5 seconds to get from 0-100 km/hour and maximum at 150 km/hour.

Next is the iWD variant in 129,800 ringgit or Rp507 million which adds the second electric motor with 95 PS and 165 Nm on the front doubles to drive all wheels and the total output system 279 PS and 385 Nm, the highest speed is the same but the time 0-100 km/hour drops to 6.5 seconds. The top specification variant is also equipped with an LFP battery, but with a slightly higher capacity of 69.8 kWh for a range of 418 km.
Both DC fast charging variants at a maximum capacity of 80 kW to get the battery from the charging state 30-80 percent within about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, AC charging is limited to 6.6 kW and there is a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system that provides up to 3.2 kW for power accessories or electrical equipment.
