Trapped In Floods In Cars, Denpasar Residents Found Dead In Villa Project
The discovery of a corpse due to being dragged by flood currents was found in a villa project in Banjar Kelencung, Kerobokan Kelod Village, North Kuta District, Badung.
The victim is known to be a housewife (IRT) named Endang Cahyaning Ayu (42), a resident of Denpasar.
"The evacuation of the victim's body was taken to the Mangusada Kapal Hospital," said North Kuta Police Chief Kompol I Ketut Agus Pasek Sudina, Wednesday, September 10.
The victim's son said that the victim had contacted him when he was trapped in the flood. Some time later the victim's cell phone could not be contacted.
From information from residents at Pengosari Market, a white Sigra car was found that was washed away.
"At the time of the incident, the witness' father managed to survive. Meanwhile (mother) the victim was dragged along with the car," he added.
The victim was found in a position caught in a wall of a villa that was in the process of being built.
The villa wall is directly adjacent to the river, so it broke down due to the floods that hit the North Kuta District.
"The victim was a passenger in a white Sigra car that was dragged by flood water at Panggosari Market. Where the body was found in a villa project near the river which was caught and hit by the collapse of the villa wall," he said.
