Just Apologizing After The Viral Main Domino With The Former Suspect Of Illegal Logging, The King Of July Is Considered Inappropriate To Be Minister

Political communication observer at Esa Unggul University, Jamiluddin Ritonga, assessed that the apology of the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni after the viral photo of playing domino with the former suspect of illegal logging, Azis Wellang and former Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers Abdul Kadir Karding was elusive. let alone accepted.

Because according to him, recently the apology of public officials seems to have become trending.

"The official, who has been pressed for his actions or statements, always leads to an apology, viral impressions coercion. Even though the real apology came from the bottom of his heart because he realized he had made a mistake," Jamiluddin told VOI, Wednesday, September 10.

"Apologies like that are based on sincerity. If an apology like this then we are called to forgive you," he continued.

According to Jamiluddin, if every official apologizes after the viral guarantee, then this habit could be used as a mode.

"The official feels that making the wrong thing is not a problem because the resolution is enough with an apology," he said.

Therefore, Jamiluddin considered that Raja Juli Antoni's apology should not be considered complete. Moreover, illegal logging is directly related to forestry problems in the country.

It is increasingly difficult to understand because Raja Juli admits that he does not know Azis Wellang. According to Jamiluddin, the confession of the King of July actually strengthens the opposite assumption.

"So, it is very difficult to understand sitting together playing domino but not knowing each other. Especially if this is done by a minister, who should already know the picture of the person he will meet," he said.

Jamiluddin said the attitude of a forestry minister who played domino with a former suspect of illegal logging was inappropriate. As a minister, the King of July did not seem to know how to place himself.

"Such a minister should not be defended. President Prabowo is worthy of removing King Juli as minister of forestry," said Jamiluddin.

According to Jamiluddin, the president's firmness towards his assistants needs to be realized so that all ministers remain in line with him. Moreover, the KP2MI minister who participated in the game has also been removed from his position.

"Don't let the president shout war against illegal logging, but the minister actually plays domino with him. Ministers like this really don't deserve to be assistants to the president," he concluded.

Previously, the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni apologized to President Prabowo Subianto and the Indonesian people after his photo while playing domino with a figure who had a case of illegal logging went viral. Raja Juli gave an explanation.

Raja Juli explained that he came to the location at that time to meet with Abdul Kadir Karding, the former Minister of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI). He said that at that location there were indeed a number of people playing dominoes.

"I personally had no other explanation except what I did convey in my release at that time. And that was also strengthened by Mas Karding, yes, that I came to where he was chatting for almost 3 hours. After that I wanted to get out and there were people who were playing dominoes, there were a lot of people at the KKSS post, yes," Raja Juli told reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 9.

Raja Juli said he was then invited and spontaneously participated in the game. He emphasized that he did not know his opponent's players when playing domino.

"So I came from the toilet to go home and they (said) 'play first', they were playing. Mas Karding was there, two people stood up and I sat there, and I only played twice after that I went home, I didn't know my left and right status. "he said.

Even so, Raja Juli apologized to President Prabowo Subianto and Commission IV of the DPR and the Indonesian people after the photo went viral. He took lessons from that moment.

"However, from the bottom of my heart I apologize profusely to Mr. President Prabowo, to my partner's Commission IV. Especially to the Indonesian people for the chaos that occurred, because of the photo circulating," he said.

"I hope this will be a lesson for me as a public official to be more careful, more aspirational, more able to read people's sensitivities," he added.
