Magnitude 5.6 Earthquake Shakes North Sulawesi, No Tsunami Potential

JAKARTA - A magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook the North Sulawesi region, exactly 213 kilometers northeast of Melonguane District, Talaud Islands Regency, at 01.20 WIB Thursday, May 13.

Quoted from the official website of the Bureau of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) in Jakarta, the earthquake is not potentially a tsunami.

BMKG stated that the epicenter was in the sea with a depth of 30 kilometers.
